Since one of the primary purposes of the dD Client is to maintain a database of information, it provides powerful functions to search for information in the database. Here are some search examples:

Cases with any activity by date
today
this week
last week
this month
last month
this year
last year

Examples of the above searches combined with other search terms
open today unassigned  (Opened for today's date and not yet assigned)
open 10/25/2012 hardin  (Opened on a prior date for a specific attorney)
open assault  (Currently open with an assault charge)
closed 8720 ruffin  (Closed CR8720 cases for a specific attorney)
criminal this week  (CR case with any activity this week)
felony this month  (Felony cases with any activity this month)
open 34  (All open cases with an FDO# ending in 00034)

Wildcard Search Examples
closed DR-10*  (Closed cases with a docket number beginning with DR-10)
open 8720 21:859*  (Open CR8720 cases with any 21:859 Charge)
open jo* doe  (Open cases for last name ‘Doe’ and first name beginning with ‘Ja’)
